The Prime Minister has just signed a decision to expand the Lao Cai border-gate economic zone, Lao Cai province.
According to the Decision, Lao Cai border-gate economic zone is an area with defined geographical boundaries within the territory and national sovereignty, with separate economic space. Lao Cai border-gate economic zone, after adjustment, has a total area of nearly 15,930ha.
Lao Cai border-gate economic zone is organized into functional areas including non-tariff zones; border gate area; industrial zones and clusters and handicraft industries; entertainment areas, tourist resorts, urban areas, residential areas and other functional areas in accordance with the provisions of law and local characteristics. The size and position of each functional zone is determined in the general construction planning, the construction subdivision planning and the detailed planning of Lao Cai border-gate economic zone.
Economic zones operate in accordance with current law provisions on economic zones, border economic zones and other relevant legal documents. Due to the change of geographical boundaries according to the provisions of this Decision, the provisions of Article 13 of the 2014 Law on Investment and Article 3 of Decree No. 118/2015 / ND-CP of November 12, 2015 are complied with.
The above decision takes effect from November 15, 2016. /.
